Cooking up craziness...

Recently Sequoia was given some oven mitts, an apron and a set of dishes from her Momasita. As has been well documented in this blog, Sequoia absolutely loves to cook and these presents have been a huge hit with her.
She immediately set off to make us a dinner that consisted of plastic broccoli, plastic turnip and a glass rock left here by Brooklyn, that Brooklyn called rock-soup. Now I am not one to pass judgment, but I have to wonder what dinner at Brooklyn's house is like and exactly what sort of cook Jennifer is...at least Sequoia's fake food is fake food....not a rock. Anyway, I digress ...
Sequoia carefully prepared our plates (on the floor, so yes we have our own issues here too Jennifer) and carefully arranged the entrees and side dishes, just like Bobby Flay has taught her to do.
You have to admit that her presentation and general adorableness gets her a 5 star rating as far as toddler dives go.

Happy Mother's Day....

So Happy Mother's Day to Colleen/ Mommy from all of her admirers in the house.
Colleen has to work all weekend at the aquarium, staying up there around the clock, so we will be visiting her there for lunch. I thought I would post a series of random shots of her and her little girl from the past year.

Sequoia takes a dive....

Sequoia decided that she was ready to go help mommy at work. She has gotten very good about telling everyone she meets that "Daddy works boats ...mommy works fish ... Sequoia works color books." So if mommy works fish, then the only way to go to Bring-Your-Kid-to-Work-Day is to learn how to dive and snorkel.
She found the fins and dive mask in a dive bag in the kitchen ... doesn't everyone keep their dive gear in the kitchen? Anyway, Sequoia found the fins and mask and proceeded to put them on and waddle like a duck around the room. She is both smart and funny.
