Sequoia's new room

After months of living in a small and cramped apartment, our little girl is getting ready to move in to her first real apartment. This will be a big change from her placental straitjacket. Rumor has it that although she has been living in a rent controlled, climate controlled, fully catered establishment, our little girl wants to prove how independent she can be. Colleen and I have found her a nice place very close to our room.

As you can see it comes with an aquatic theme. That may not surprise many of you out there.

She will have a wonderful maple crib to sleep in

A fun swing to laugh in

An underwater rug to play on.

A cool dresser (that Colleen found at the thrift store for $6 and painted to match the rest of the room) to keep all of her daily wear in.

And of course, because she is our little girl ......

A closet FULL of clothes for just about every conceivable occasion to wear when she's visiting with all of her friends and family!!!

Colleen wanted me to mention that Sequoia will not be playing on an underwater rug ... but rather an underwater THEMED rug

I hope I can now leave a comment -- Granddad and I have enjoyed reading about Sequoia's new room (and her OLD one, as well)..we are so anxious to meet our little baby and are sorry it will be awhile before we can actually hold her.

We enjoyed hearing about Will's and Christopher's surprise visit today (March 16th) -- I can tell it's going to be so much fun to monitor this site every day, especially after Sequoia is actually HERE!

Hey.....wait a minute. Isn't that "our" room? Well, we hope you will at least let us have a drawer in that very cute dresser when we come to visit again!! What did you do with the comfy bed anyway?? That crib looks a little small!!
