Sequoia absolutely loves the little wooden Thomas the Train set that we bought her for her birthday. She has always enjoyed watching Thomas on TV and recently has been drinking her milk from a Thomas sippy cup, but I had no idea how much she would love the train set.
The funniest part about it is that the train set came with a "yearbook" - basically a catalog of all of the other Thomas Train accessories we should buy. Sequoia loves reading the book and pointing out Thomas and showing how Thomas is also on her cup and that she has a Thomas train .... and she just thinks it is so cool that Thomas is everywhere.
I get an extra kick out of Thomas because when we lived in England he (Thomas) was not nearly so famous. In England he was a celebrity known as Thomas Tank...I suppose that is still what they call him over there. I remember mom buying Sequoia's cousin Jens a Thomas Tank book and I don't think anyone understood why a train was called a tank at that point. Anyway, I am glad to see Sequoia having so much fun with her train set. I know that my dad certainly would have gotten a kick out of watching her set up her train set.

I hadn't known you would remember the Thomas The Tank book I bought Jens while in the UK (& that had to have been about 18 years ago!) ....as you say, they were not popular over here yet, but every English chld grows up with Thomas The Tank books and Thomas the Tank TV programs, and all that stuff. It's fun that Sequoia is enjoying the character in all its forms.
AND she is obviously enjoying every item from the actual train set to the book to the sippy cup..and maybe more.
