Having fun and being cute....

Sequoia spends plenty of time exercising her creative and imaginative side. She is always coming up with new games to play, new stories to tell and new reasons to laugh and smile.
She is full of energy and strong opinions. Normally that is a wonderful and fun aspect of her character. She is also very quick to pick up on subtle nuances....The other night we were having a pretend picnic in the living room. She was "the mommy" and Colleen and I were the kids.

At one point during the picnic Sequoia decided she needed something from her room, but the light was off and she cannot quite reach that light switch yet. So she came back into the living room telling us that we needed to turn the light on for her. Colleen, staying in the character of being the kid said "But you are the mommy, shouldn't you do it?"
Without missing a beat, just pausing long enough to switch her expression to a devilishly manipulative smile, she said in her motherly tone
"Would you like to learn how to turn on the light? I'll show you how."
She is a clever little one.

Grandmom says: Ohhhh how CUTE! And how quick to solve her problem of turning the light on without getting out of character! That does make one laugh ~ and admire a little girl's ability to have fun with her parents who are her best friends at this time of life.

Thanks again for this wonderful story...I loved it! Grandmom
