After a shaky first day at swim class, Sequoia showed her true colors and blew through the rest of the class like a Blue Marlin tears through a school of bait fish.

As evidenced by this medal (that represents a medal that she might have won had somebody recognized how incredible she was in her swim class) she was an award winning student.

Honestly, we were very proud of how well she did. She is very calm in the pool and did not complain at all during the big finale when she had to go underwater three different times to an incredible free dive depth of 18-24 inches. She is able to climb out of the pool by herself (not that she knows how to swim to the edge, but if she gets there she can climb out). Our instructor called her the calmest water baby she had ever seen and tended to use her for her demonstrations even though she was by far the youngest.

She did extremely well with this class and we all look forward to continuing her water skills.

How wonderful for Sequoia to end up acing that swim class....after the shaky start she had, she managed to fool (and IMPRESS) every one there, huh? She's a cutie for sure......we'd love to be able to see her 'do her stuff.'
Grandmom and granddad.
