Cathleen and Sam win ....?

Sunday Sequoia's Aunt Cathleen (my sister) and cousin Sam (my nephew) became the first relatives of their respective generations to meet the newest Newberg. That also means that they were the first people from my side of the family to see Sequoia. Now anybody that knows Cathleen will be amazed that she managed to be the first to arrive ANYWHERE, much less that she pulled off this feat by driving all the way from Berkley Springs, West Virginia for a 4 hour visit. It may make more sense when you realize that she arrived on Sunday, but had planned on coming on Saturday ... so the universe continues to spin as always.... We really enjoyed our visit with Cathleen and Sam and were very happy that they were able to stay for part of Colleen's 34th birthday cookout. Sequoia seemed quite happy in her aunt Cathleen's arms. I can't believe that they spent 9 hours in the car just to meet our little angel. Hopefully the next visit will be longer.

This entry does my heart good! Wish we'd been too, as well.
