The Saturday of Easter weekend started out with some rain and a questionable forecast, causing our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt to be canceled at the last minute.
By the time they canceled it though, Sequoia was already dressed up and amped up for an Easter Egg Hunt....so we had to figure out a quick plan B.
Luckily Colleen was able to find another local Easter Egg hunt that was starting at the same time, and was only 3 miles away ... so off we went, arriving just in time to meet the Easter Bunny (a huge hit with Sequoia) and participate in the hunt.
Sequoia gathered exactly how many eggs she wanted and told me she was finished long before the other kids had stopped gathering up the goodies. I was puzzled at first, but puzzlement turned into a sort of pride when I found out her plan.
Her intention was to find the Easter Bunny and give him an egg...which she did. It was very cute and she was very proud of herself.
After the egg hunt we went home and posed in front of the pretty azaleas at our house.
Posing in front of Easter azaleas is probably a pretty common tradition around here.
But I doubt anyone has ever been cuter at it than our little girl.

Grandmom says: Boy, I LOVED these Easter pictures of our girl enjoying the Easter Bunny and doing those things little girls do at Sequoia's age. Isn't she pretty, posing by the huge pink azalea bush? Of course, I love seeing her in one of the birtday dresses I gave her (and which Aunt Peggy actually picked out)... This little girl is a beauty, for sure!
love to you all, Grandmom
