Rumors of an arranged marriage ...?

Tonight Sequoia got to meet Grant William Liddycoat, the 1 month old son of Scott and Kim. It was Grant's one month birthday today and we felt privileged that he chose to celebrate it by coming over to our house for a visit.
Rumors have started to circulate that in an effort to avoid the whole teenage dating scene (and the associated loss of hair and sanity) I have been considering setting Sequoia up with an arranged marriage. I'm not going to deny or confirm those reports. I will say that I am currently editing the final draft of the "Application to Date my Daughter" form. If I can work out the legal boilerplate in a manner that is acceptable to all parties, I may consider allowing a few gentlemen to at least fill out the application. NO guarantees beyond that though.
The get together was rounded out by Pam and Harry Speiser. Sequoia really enjoyed her time in Pam's arms and sat as calm as could be for the better part of an hour just staring at Pam. We didn't let Harry get too close to her though...if you worked with him like I do, you might understand.

Here is our little elasmobranch specialist wearing the cool shark bib that her friends Becky and Larry Benson from Oregon sent her. The bib shows the highly evolved 3 gill sharks that Sequoia plans on discovering one day.

Colleen and Sequoia wanted to pose with some of the flowers that we received to celebrate Sequoia's arrival. The onesie was given to her by her great aunt Kathy.

Ah, and it is back in to the deep blue sea for our little scuba girl. Here she is striking a pose with some of her undersea friends. She manages to maintain perfect neutral buoyancy through the regular release of gas. An admirable trait for a diver or a baby.

Sequoia also got to try out her new swing today. It does a nice job of soothing her at times when we are busy doing other things like eating.

I'm not having a lot of luck posting comments on this site, but I'll try once more.

We adore our littlest granddaughter and all the things Daddy has to say about life with her...isn't it fun? she is most adorable!
