Today we got together with Brooklyn and Elizabeth's families at Beaver Dam Park again. The weather has been astoundingly beautiful this weekend, so we did not need any coaxing to get outside.

Jennifer had wanted to get Brooklyn and our dogs together since Brooklyn has been fascinated by the dogs she has been seeing lately. We were originally going to bring them to the park with us, but decided against it since we figured the park would be pretty crowded, and our two dog's energy and personalities far exceed their popularity.

We decided instead to play at the park and then all go back to the somewhat controlled environment of our back yard for the dog-fest.

Well we had a ball at the park watching the kids play in the swings and jungle gym.

We think that Sequoia may be headed to the Olympics after dazzling us with a display on the rings. Hopefully it will be accompanied by a good scholarship and lucrative product endorsements....

I can't wait until these little girls get big enough to really cut loose and play with all of the cool equipment at playgrounds like this.

But I have to admit that I am continually amazed by how they already use the equipment in their own very active ways. They crawl, walk, stand and giggle all over the place making up their own games as they go.

It is refreshing to watch how much joy the squeeze out of even the most nondescript item - like a set of rails or a ramp or a pine cone.

Sometimes it is just the breeze in your face that gets your tongue wagging in glee.

Back at the house for dog-fest the kids turned the yard into a private playground. It was hilarious watching them tumble around on the trampoline. Occasionally they were even joined by our wild-child Yukon ... Rogue is entirely too dignified for such nonsense. All in all, considering our dogs, I think Brooklyn enjoyed getting to meet the dogs.

I give colleen a lot of credit for trying to gather the tykes together for a coherent group photo. It really makes me happy watching Sequoia interacting with all of her friends.

So cute to see Sequoia and her mommy and friends at the park and then later at home on the trampline. Those are darling pix of Colleen and the three kids up there on the 'bouncy thing!'
