No adventures in babysitting....

Last week Colleen's parents came up and stayed with us for a few days. It was a nice visit for many reasons, not the least of which was that John and Betty offered to watch Sequoia for us so that Colleen and I could go out to dinner and a movie. Surprisingly this was only the third time Sequoia has had a babysitter in her 10 1/2 months and the first time in almost a year that Colleen and I have been out to the movies...

Well Sequoia really enjoyed her time with her grandparents. She ate well, entertained them with her books and went to bed without a fuss.

It worked so well that the next day Colleen left Sequoia with them again for a large portion of the day so that she could attend a meeting in Chesapeake. Again, Sequoia apparently did great without her parents around ... so as I have sort of suspected, I am thinking she is a great kid ...

Colleen and I enjoyed the break in addition to the nice visit with John and Betty.

How much fun for every one, the child AND the grandparents! It's obvious that John and Mamacita know just how to please our little Sequoia! And I have to admit I'm a tad envious of them getting to babysit out wonderul, shared, grandchild!
