Getting ready for a road trip....

This past weekend was Sequoia's first big road trip. She has been pretty active in her first 6-1/2 weeks, but all of her trips up to now had pretty much been around town. For Mother's Day she headed out of state to visit my family up in Maryland - a 4-1/2 hour trip that now takes about 6 hours ... I guess it is all part of the package.
Anyway, since she was going to be meeting most of my family for the first time in addition to celebrating Mother's Day, we thought perhaps we should scrub some of the dirt off of her. It's not that we don't keep her clean, but honestly she is only averaging about one bath a week so far.
I think that will be increasing now that she is getting more and more comfortable with the event, plus we have started using a new gadget that is basically a battery powered shower head that attaches to her little Baby Spa bath tub. She does really good with everything up to the point that we start rinsing off the shampoo...and that is where this little hand held shower head comes in so handy.
So once she gets cleaned up it is hard not to play around with that head of hair she has. Both Colleen and I were particularly fond of the spiked look we had going here. I think you can tell from Sequoia's expression what she thought of it.

The pink hooded towel was a gift from Grant's parents, Scott and Kim Liddycoat.
