Saturday was Sequoia's first day of swim class. She has been in a number of different pools and has always done well, so we had no doubt that she would be a virtual phenom during swim class. Colleen had her decked out in appropriate attire and Sequoia seemed up for the challenge. She was laughing at the kids in the pool and having a big time while we waited for our class to start.

Well, I am not certain if it was her nap time, her lunch time, the water was too cold or whatever ... but Sequoia was less than thrilled with her time in the pool. She exercised her lungs as much as any other body part.

She did OK and I am certain that she will have more fun next week, but it was not the spectacular start to her Olympic swimming career that we had been picturing.

I left a comment and then think I closed the window without completing the whole thing.
Anyway, I was saying that SOMEthing wasn't quite right that day of the first swim class. We've seen pictures of Sequoia in the water before and she's usually have a great time.
Better luck with the next class.
