Well it's been awhile since I've been able to get around to updating the blog and there have been many new Firsts to celebrate...including Sequoia's first Christmas Eve Eve. That is the day that we got to celebrate our personal family Christmas at home before hitting the road to visit family and friends.

Sequoia enjoyed her first official Christmas stocking complete with a very soft puppy dog blanket and a couple of ornaments from Colleen and I for the tree.

The first present she opened was from Naunt Becky and Nuncle Jeremiah. (Naunts and Nuncles are our classification for those close friends who are very involved in her life but not actually related to us in any way. Naunt Becky and Nuncle Jeremiah are so close they were with us the night Sequoia was born!) She absolutely loved the ball they gave her. It plays music and rolls around by itself making her chase it down.

The ball I gave her does not play music or roll around by itself, but I think she liked it a lot anyway. Here I have taught her the perfect three point stance and she is ready for some football.

Not surprisingly her favorite part of all involved the paper, bows, boxes and ribbons. The toys were OK, but nothing compared to crinkly tissue paper and bright ribbons.
This night was only the first part of a marathon Christmas ...
