We had a small get together on New Year's Day to welcome in the new year ... couldn't think of a better day for that. Brooklyn says that even in the new year it can be tough being dressed like a cow...I guess she did not understand how very cute she was in that outfit.
Elayne enjoyed sitting in her mom's lap staring at the fire ... actually we all enjoyed sitting around staring at the fire, but most of us sat in our own chairs to give Christine a break.
Sequoia chose to use her mom's chair.
It was a surprisingly pretty day - crisp enough to have a fire on the deck, but not too cold to be outside enjoying the day. A good start to the new year.
Grant and Scott look like they survived the celebrations from the night before in one piece ... although Grant looks like he may be regretting that last Bud....It takes time to learn how to pace yourself...
