Christmas Day

So Sequoia's celebration tour continued Christmas Eve when we arrived at her Aunt Sherri's house and joined the festivities that were already in full swing. The Christmas spirit was flowing freely and everyone had a good time as we made the required preparations for Santa's arrival that night. Cousins Aiden and Ryley finally went to sleep and as the three cousins slept Santa somehow snuck into the house, past the adults and set out some wonderful presents for the kids. He even thought to drop off some fun toys for Sequoia. He's a smart guy.

Again Sequoia was mostly fascinated by the wrapping paper and bows but also took her time investigating anything within her reach.

After awhile she was having trouble keeping track of all of her presents - resorting to counting on her fingers to keep things straight.

One present that was a huge hit with her was her Ernie doll from Aunt Colleen. He laughs and rolls around when you push his belly. Pretty funny stuff. What cracked me up was how at different times during the drive over the next several days we would randomly hear Ernie start to laugh or talk. Sort of funny, sort of creepy since he was normally packed away in a bag somewhere...

We let Ryley borrow our camera to take this nice family portrait of us.

Here are my two Christmas angels.

And the three Amigos....

Sequoia and Ryley absolutely love spending time together. Sequoia has a fascination with older kids ... I mean she is absolutely mesmerized by them.

All in all it was another great family Christmas hosted by the Holdridge's. How they manage to put up with all of the mayhem will forever remain a mystery to me...

Didn't Sequoia (and you guys) enjoy your Christmas with Aiden and Ryley? So neat that you get to spend time with both families at this important time of year!
